On the path of health from Kladnitsa - hut. Selimitsa - z. Sopo - Kladnitsa
Hello, adventurers
This week I will take you for a walk at the foot of Vitosha. Our journey started from the village of Kladnitsa, located thirty kilometers from Sofia. We left the car and headed to the "Path of Health" leading from Kladnitsa to Selimitsa hut. (You can find it in Google Maps - Path of Health)
A very nice forest path winding along a small stream and from time to time we had to jump over the water. Very soon we reached Selimitsa hut. Pleasant and nestled, but right next to the road, it offered food and drink to visitors, who were quite present on this sunny winter day.
We decided not to stop and continued on the path to Cherni Vrah. She was quite calm and we managed to enjoy the songs of the birds and the noise of the forest.
We reached a large green building on the right and our road forked. Right after it we took a left on the green marking to reach the Sopo shelter. We couldn't find it in a picture on the internet and we were looking forward to it. It turned out to be an ordinary well-made shelter with wooden tables. Somehow the chic name had created interesting expectations for me. We sat down for a while to rest and eat.
On the way back we went forward on the meadow and turned right on the yellow marking, which would take us back to the village of Kladnitsa. The trail was extremely calm and pleasant. In our case, it was quite icy at the top. Downstairs were wooden railings and benches for rest. We reached another shelter with a fountain on the way down and stopped to rest. In the distance was a dam that complemented the landscape.
A short break for photos and we continue on the small path. And the thing that surprised us was ... the bear! No, despite the noise we heard from the bushes, we did not see a bear. But we saw a sign that pointed to a bear. We came across the signs of the mountain guide from Kladnitsa - Georgi Petrov (also known as Bichi). They read "Here Bichi saw the bear - May 28, 2005", and opposite was another sign reading "Here was the bear".

The descent after that was steep and we reached the village of Kladnitsa. The photo with the sign of Vitosha Nature Park was somehow obligatory. And after that we head back to the car, charged with energy from the great day spent in nature.
