Stenos Fortress is located in Trayanovi Vrata's pass and carries the history of glorious victories and crushing losses. Its creation dates back to the end of the 4th century during the reign of Theodosius. It was built with the Roman construction technique opus mixtum, which alternates between stone blocks and a brick belt. The shape of the fortress is an irregular rectangle with dimensions of 90m length and 36m. width. The main entrance is from the north. It is a huge gate and is guarded by two pointed pentagonal towers.

Cherven is one of the most important church and cultural centers during the Second Bulgarian State. It is located on a rocky hill about 1 km long and up to 200 meters wide. The medieval city was divided into 2 parts - inner and outer city. The inner (Citadel) was surrounded by a high fortress wall and defensive towers (bastions). In its best years, the city was inhabited by over 10,000 people and was an important trading settlement in the region.

Prohodna Cave is located in the area of the village of Karlukovo. It has been a natural landmark since 1962, and its fame comes for a variety of reasons. It is 365 meters long and reaches a height of 56 meters. In the ceiling of the cave were two huge openings resembling human eyes. For this reason, many people call it the "Eyes of God" or the "God's eyes". A large number of commercials, music videos and film productions have been shot here, such as "Time Apart", "The Way Back", "Shmenti Kapeli" and others. Another interesting fact is that this is one of the few caves in the world where bungee jumping is performed. In it you can also find dozens of climbing routes and enthusiasts can often be seen on the rock walls.
