Is there anything interesting I should check out at the school??

I really liked the stairs to the second floor, which were inscribed with the names of the highest peaks of the Bulgarian mountains.

The other thing I'm slightly addicted to were the climbing walls - two outside and one in the gym. I admit that I haven't been climbing for a long time, but it gave me great pleasure to climb with them and challenge myself on the most difficult wall.

The school often organizes various initiatives that allow you to experience their profession and studies. For the first of June, various competitions and games are often organized for the little ones. The last event was "Ranger's Day", which they organized together with the Natural History Museum and gave visitors the opportunity to try a rope trolley, climbing a wall and other interesting games and entertainment. You can follow them on their Facebook group to learn the news as quickly as possible - click.

What is interesting nearby?

  • Natural History Museum Cherni Osam - together with the school share a common yard and you cannot miss visiting it. The museum is very interesting and has managed to collect many interesting animal species. The halls are very well built and will help you feel the atmosphere of this part of Stara Planina.
  • Troyan Monastery "Assumption of the Virgin Mary" - located only a few 2.5 kilometers from the museum. It is the third largest monastery in Bulgaria. It was founded in the 15th-16th century and is known for its impressive building and incredibly beautifully carved church.
  • Museum of folk art crafts and applied arts - located in the city of Troyan, about 12 km from the village of Cherni Osam. In it you will be able to see the crafts that have been developed in the city of Troyan and the region since the Renaissance. You will be able to see a model of the beautiful craft street, which unfortunately burned down, see master works in ceramics, wood and more.
