Saturday walk from "Orlite" hut to Vetrushka peak in the Golo Bardo mountain


This week we decided to take on a more unusual walk and went in the direction of Radomir (Pernik region) in order to conquer the highest peak of the mountain Golo Bardo.

Vetrushka peak is located at 1158 m. above sea level and is the highest peak in the Golo Bardo mountain. There are several routes to it, the most popular being from the Orlite hut (from the direction of Radomir) and from the Slavey hut (from the direction of Pernik).

Krinets Dam - chill, walk or fishing in Bansko with a view to Pirin


The dam is one of the favorite places for rest, fishing and nature walks of the locals. There is a relaxation area with a maintained lawn and sun loungers, where you can spend your free time. Whether you read a book, listen to music or just lie down and enjoy the mountain view is entirely up to you. If you don't feel like it, you can walk along the dam wall and continue up to the forest.

The Golden Bridges of Vitosha - one of the favorite places of Aleko Konstantinov


Golden Bridges are probably the most visited area on Vitosha. More than 100 years ago, mountain lovers, with backpacks on their backs, came on their weekends on the small paths from Knyazhevo, Boyana and Vladaya to enjoy the beautiful nature. Today, Zlatni Mostove is connected to the capital by road, and there is also a bus.

Rozhen Monastery "Nativity of Mary" - returned more beautiful than ever like a phoenix after the ashes


It is not clear when and who created the monastery. This is due to the great fire in the 17th century, which damaged a large part of the monastery complex and burned the monastery library. The oldest objects found here are ornaments and coins from the time of Michael VIII Palaeologus (1250-85).
The monastery was restored at the beginning of the XVIII century with the financial help of rich bulgarians from all over the country. Reconstruction began in 1715, and the church was fully completed in 1732.
